These scarce knives were adopted by the U.S. Army Air Force in October 1942 for use in the B-4 Emergency Bail Out Kit, fitted with a metal blade guard and carried in a gray scabbard usually attached to the parachute harness. These replaced the older, longer machete and have a 10-inch blade with an overall length of 15.50 inches when folded. Comes with its original metal blade guard. Made by Camillus.
