Emergency sustenance kit, Type E-3. (Early Model) Known as a 'personal aids' kit that contained escape and evasion equipment in a waterproof ethyl cellulose plastic flask designed to fit in the airman's pocket. This kit has been previously used but still contains some of the original contents.
