Original Prussian Model 1873 cavalry saber that was made from a French Model 1822 cavalry saber captured during the Franco-Prussian War. Blade has Chatellerault Arsenal markings on the spine. Sword is clearly German unit marked “R.A.M.K.15.69.” on the guard and scabbard for an Artillery Munitions Column. Overall size is 36” with a 30” blade.
