M1872 U.S. Military Academy Cadet Sword - Indian Wars Era

INDIAN WARS ERA U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY MODEL 1872 CADET SWORD & SCABBARD. 36” o/a with 30.50” nickel plated blade. Nickel plated steel scabbard with brass mounts. Brass hilt with “eagle” motif pommel and “MA” embossed guard. Very nice (early) example and original overall. In use until replaced by the Military Academy Model 1922 after WW1. Type carried at West Point by many famous Generals of WW1 and WW2 who went there.
