This is a sergeant's sword from the City of Paris, dated to the year 1840. Markings of a "B" under a "Crown" for (King) Louis-Philippe (1830-48) at the Klingenthal arsenal and only used for the year of 1840. The guard features a depiction of a ship, and the imperial eagle is depicted against a background of scrolling foliage on the grip / 37 Inches overall length / 31.50 Inch blade / Blade has a double fuller that runs half the way down / Markings are "B" under a "Crown" & "2410"
