1983 Official White House Wooden Easter Egg. First Lady Nancy Reagan, who attended the White House Egg Roll as a child, introduced souvenir wooden easter eggs to the event. Some were autographed by well-known public figures; others had The White House hand printed on the egg. Previously, Betty Ford introduced Ukrainian egg decorating demonstrations and used plastic eggs in the egg roll. Rosalynn Carter gave out 10,000 souvenir plastic eggs with a welcome message inside. This wooden egg is a great keepsake of Reagan years.
